is it safe bacteria wise? With or without bone? I have a tiny yorkie-poodle she’s like 6 pounds but loves to eat.

CONsidering it is what wild dogs would eat as their prime food source, I’d say it was a good diet for dogs.
Raw and healthy with no bacteria is up to you. They have canines for a reason and need to lick the bone.
Raw diets can be very good for some dogs, not so much for others. Same as with people, not every diet is good for every dog.
Seriously? You ask this in the Vegan/vegetarian section?
Edit- and just so this option is there, when I made the switch to being vegan, so did my border collie Piper. She eats http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2750329#RatingsDetail and has never been healthier! (and to anyone who want’s to start on that I shouldn’t inflict my views on her, I always put her health first. If she wasn’t healthy eating the vegetarian, she would eat normal dog food.)
ive heard raw meat diets are really good for pets. they sell these little bags of frozen raw meat patty things that you just unfreeze a couple at a time and keep in the fridge tell you feed them. they are real safe.
I would ask my vet on that one. I hope you have a source of VERY fresh meat!
i have a 22 pound Olde Boston Bulldog…opps that was last year make that 26 man is she getting fat but yeah bacteria wise it’s fine but pork bones are a no, and chicken and really if you are to use a bone a lager beef bone is the only way but a 6 pound dog Clould not handel that. try to buy lean beef roast cut into small cubes as a treat or chicken breast your dog will think your god but it will get fat and it might not eat other dog food after a wile. also give it lots of exercise but this really only works with an active muscular dog (oh and it will cost you a bundel)
YES think it is the best but its not as healthy
as white meat(chickens) have white meat but
i don’t think u should put ur dog on diet it could
be dangerous unless informed by ur vet
(very rare most wont recommend unless ur pets is incredibly ill)
Hope This Helps(not shouting)
raw meat is great for a dog but has to be very fresh every meal and yorkies have health issues that require a very balanced diet so might not be right for a small breed dog
I would say that dogs’ natural diet is raw meat. And bacteria wise I would also say it’s OK, as dogs like eating rotting meat (they bury bones). Raw bones are fine (better than cooked), but it may depend on the size of both the bones and the dog.
But this is vegetarian and vegan, for humans! Try asking in the Pet section where you’ll get more direct answers.
