I am not diabetic, but I started the SBD 10 days ago and I am very happy with the results already. I have lost 11 pounds, and I have lost my cravings for sugar, which was my weakness! I have also found that it is very easy to stick to and I haven’t been tempted to cheat at all.

My mom started on the same day as I did, but she in an insulin dependant diabetic. In the SBD book, it did not mention any special instructions for her (or least I did not notice any!) On day 6, she had a terrible low blood sugar which almost put her in the hospital. One friend recommended that she completely skip phase 1 of the diet. I was just wondering if this is good advice, and if there is anything else I can pass along to my mom.
