get a nutrionist and a trainer to help you. good luck and be patience on what you want to achieved.
If you don’t want to cook and are used to eating fast food, it can be a tough transition. I’ll give you a little advice when it comes to eating fast food that can make it a lot healthier:
1. don’t eat fries, baked potato, no butter is ok
2. skip the mayo and cheese
3. order a side salad with fat free or lo-cal dressing
4. drink water instead of tea or soda
5. Arby’s and Wendy’s have deli sandwiches…lots healthier
6. Subway has healthy options clearly labeled
7. Ask for nutrition information at the restaurant or look it up
online to determine the better choices
Of course, eliminating fast food will help most, but there are ways to make it much better for your diet.
Good luck
First you need to get in to a routine that allows you to cook for yourself.
If you don’t have time, then try some of the blue menu President Choice foods that contain fewer calories than most fast food items.
Try to eat plenty of fish, chicken, fruit and dark green vegetables. Salads are good. Limit your bread or starch intake and have some fibre.
A simple menu would be something like this:
Breakfast- one small bowl of cereal, coffee, one whole wheat toast and a tiny bit of butter, a glass of orange juice.
A.M. Snack- a fruit (banana, apple, or other) and a fat free yogurt
Lunch- A lower calorie food: Stouffer’s? and a small salad. Here you might choose to eat another fruit.
P.M. Snack- carrot sticks, or celery sticks, cucumber slices…
Dinner – Blue menu: 1 cup of ravioli and sauce, a salad and a green vegetable (broccoli, sparragus, green beans)
Before bed, if you need to, drink water, or a herbal tea.
Stay away from chips, candy or anything that is sugar!
Hope this helps…
Start with the basics or call your mom and ask her for a recipy or two of things you liked to eat when you were living at home.
Basics include selecting what protein source you’d prefer: fish, meat, bird for example.
Then select what to eat with it. Potatoes, rice, pasta etc
Thirdly – how to make it a bit interesting. This is always a bit harder when you only cook for yourself but if you want to loose weight you can aim for different type of salads, veggies, or some crushed tomatoes perhaps. Mix with spices and herbs – smell it first, then imagine how it will taste with whatever you got frying.
For example – slice and dice – potatoes, onions, carrots. Put it in a high-edge pan. Heat it to 225 celcius. Pour some oil on it and salt and pepper. Mix it with your hands. Put it in the oven when it’s heated and check on it now and then. Should be done in 15-20 mins. Start making the sauce – crushed tomatoes with basilica and salt and pepper, just mix it up and smell and taste too see if the blend is ok. Start with the meat after 10 mins – just fry a bit and make a bit extra if you got a micro for example – always good to have extras in the fridge or so if you come home too tired to cook some days. Depending on how thick the meat is try different frying times.
Fish goes well with mushrooms and corn and potatoes.
Chicken goes well with onions and rice and paprika.
Just for starters – you can also easily google "recipes cooking" etc to find free pages
I’m in your same situation. I hate cooking, and I am sick of fast food. I usually eat stuff like this now:
Canned ready to eat soup, progresso or campbells (1 serving- 100 calories)
Lean pockets (300 calories)
Instant oatmeal (120 calories)
Slimfast shake (160 calories)
Canned fruit in light syrup (100 calories)
Quaker rice cakes (60 calories)
Yoplait yogurt (100 calories)
Fruits such as pears and berries
Vegetables like broccoli and celery
Canned tuna and crackers

I have been on a diet since the week after new year’s. I found out how many calories my body needs, which is around 2300, and I cut my daily caloric intake down to around 1500-1700 to create a caloric deficit. When you do this, your body is not getting all of the calories it needs, so it goes to your "storage." I’ve been eating a lot of frozen meals (Kashi, Lean Cuisine). Since I started, I’ve lost 14 lbs.
Soups,Salads and Sandwiches don’t really involve cooking. They’re more on the preparation side. The problem would be if you were "starving" and didn’t really want to wait to eat. In that case you should by snacks like pretzels, rice cakes, fruits,or vegetables. That way you can buy yourself sometime to prepare a healthier meal, rather than settling for an unhealthy option. Good Luck.
Go to a healthy restaurant.
If you are serious about losing weight and eating healthy, you must be willing to do SOME cooking! You don’t have to do a lot, though. For example, you might boil some chicken, then prepare some greens and have a chicken salad for dinner. Add olive oil instead of dressing if you want to be more healthy. Also, soups are very easy to make–dump in some tomato juice, add meat and vegetables or beans for a bean soup. Another idea is that if you have a George Foreman grill, you can grill yourself any meat you want and it will be ready in ten minutes. Cook some vegetables and quick rice, and it’s a meal! Or you can go to the store and buy a rotissiere style chicken and keep it in the fridge and eat it whenever you’re hungry! Personally, I like to cook a bunch of meat at once, freeze it, and use it whenever I make a meal.
It will take a little bit of work, but your body will feel so much better if you feed it good food!
When you don’t cook for yourself it is very difficult to diet, when it’s easiest to run to McDonalds and pick up dinner. I don’t care to cook and I’m not very imaginative in the kitchen so I tend to stick with meals I can cook and I like to go for cheap and easy and so it makes dieting difficult.
You have to look at it as not a diet but a change in lifestyle this is something you have to be prepared to do for the rest of your life. I suggest picking up a cook book on healthy cooking, picking several meals from the book and preparing those, meals that are easily prepared and dont’ require a lot of time and effort.
If you must pick up fast food, make wise choices, don’t go for the quarter pounder select the salad and fruit or the grilled chicken sandwich and remove the bread and don’t have mayonaise. Eat at Subway and select from the 6 grams of fat menu. It’s all about making the right choices. Eat small meals several times a day, skip dessert or choose something that you can eat, fruit, sugar free jello.
If you can prepare meals ahead of time and freeze them or set them aside to be eaten nightly then it lessens the chance of snacking or choosing the wrong thing.
Pack a lunch for work daily, pick up microwave meals like Healthy choice or Lean Cuisine which will prevent you from running out and picking up Wendy’s or McDonalds. Or going in with everyone at work and selecting Pizza and anything else that is bad for you, if you must buy lunch then go for the salads. It’s all about making the right choices and staying away from the fried foods that are loaded with saturated fat.
I keep oatmeal at my desk and I eat oatmeal for breakfast, I have a healthy choice meal in the freezer for lunch and my only downfall is when I get home I’m usually hungry and I always reach for the wrong thing, just to stuff something in my mouth. If you dont’ buy it and keep it in the house you are less likely to eat the wrong thing, i.e. don’t buy ice-cream, candy, soda, snack cakes like little debbies or Hostess. Change to multigrain breads or whole wheat (better carbs as they are considered low glycemic, they don’t raise your insulin levels which causes hunger) pick up whole wheat pasta also low glycemic, trust me they taste the same as regular. Eat more vegetables and have a salad with your meal, if you fill up on salad you’re less likely to finish your meal etc.
There’s a new show coming on TLC called "I can Make You Thin" premiers Sunday at 9 pm, give it a try it might help.
It’s hard to diet or to eat healthfully without cooking. I would recommend trying to cook at least once a week to start, and any bookstore will have lots of cookbooks with fun and easy healthy recipes.
Basically, you have a choice, depending on how much money you want to spend. If you want to eat healthfully but not cook, you’re going to have to spend more money. If you don’t have any more money to spend on food, then you’re going to have to learn to cook if you want to eat healthfully.
In the meantime…
-Eat stuff that tastes good. If you’re miserable all the time, you’ll just go back to your old lifestyle.
-Don’t make too many drastic changes at once. Change one or two things, wait a week or two to get used to it, then change some more things.
-Eat relatively unprocessed foods. Fresh fruits, veggies, grains, beans, etc. all have more fiber and nutrients than highly-processed frozen and canned foods. Fiber is important because it makes you feel more full.
-Avoid ANYTHING with high-fructose corn syrup or partially-hydrogenated oils. It’s really hard because they’re in pretty much everything that comes in a box at the supermarket, but they’re really, really bad for you. Just google these ingredients and you’ll find all sorts of studies about the ill health effects.
-Eat less meat. You don’t have to become a vegetarian, but it’s best to start by eating meat at only one meal a day and cutting back to eating meat 2-4 times a week. You may worry about protein, but most Americans eat way more protein than the World Health Organization recommends, and you can also get protein from cheese, beans, nuts, etc.
-Lots of cities and towns have stores that have good prepared foods. They’re healthier than frozen dinners because they’re usually made from scratch that day, so they have less preservatives and sodium (sodium makes you retain water).
i advise you to drink green tea 1-3 glasses per day is enough
green tea speeds up your metabolism
drink lots and lots of water 8 glasses each day.
do not snack
do not eat 6 meals a day, try to only eat 3
if you are really hungry and you’ve had all your daily meals snack on fruits ( oranges, apples, bananas )
exercise more try and run for at least 30 minutes a day
get more active eg: instead of asking your mom to pass you the remote control get it your self it does count as extra exercise
get more sleep it prepares your body
stretch, yes it works and it doesn’t just help you lose weight it helps with you’re growing to make you a little taller
count your calories try to stay under the amount of 1000 calories per day
change you’re lifestyle it makes a difference
do not eat candy or chips eat more greens or protein bars
avoid fast food and cut out fried food tell you’re mom when she cooks you’re meal to oven cook you’re food do not fry it
chew gum because when you chew gum you do not pick at food for example if theres some chips in you’re cupboard you go to them a think good damn they look good then you would say no i cant pick at them because i dont wanna throw my gum away
do not eat after 6pm because before 6pm you can burn all you’re food off and if you eat after six it will lay on you’re stomach as you eat.
do not eat before you go to sleep
drink a glass of water before you go to sleep
drink plain hot kettle water because it speeds up you’re metabolism
do not weigh you’re self everyday because it torments you, weight you’re self once a week ( every Monday )
good luck!
you can safley lose 2 to 3 lbs. a week
