Hi I’m a 16 year old Highschooler that is around 5′9 with the body weight of 115-120ish. I’m very skinny and I play lacrosse for my school. I want to get strong and toned for next years season. I was wondering if anyone knew any good diets and work-out routines that I could starting this summer till next spring 2008.
I don’t want to get huge, because I personally like looking lanky and thin, but i want to get very toned, heavier, and stronger.
Thank you in advance!
p.s i’ve never done any weights ever in my life! (haha)

well the biggest part of lacrosse is probably cradling and to make your cradle stronger and more effective is to take a bar put low weigh on and put your hands on the so your thumbs are on the inside do as many curls that way as you can and then but the bar behind your back with your thumbs the same way and curl your fingers and wrist and those will kill your arms but build size, tone, and improve your cradle
Any toning exercize, play ball, hike or whatever. Just play and have a good time. But eat alot.
I would strongly recommend Body For Life, which is great for weight gain and loss – to create your best possible physical physique, and no, you don’t need to ever get huge =)

Get a very strong backpack, put about 50 pounds in it and walk 8 miles a day, go up hill not down. ( Bad for knees and everything else) Then go eat eggs or steak, as much as you feel comfortable eating. Then do it again. For your arms I recommend getting a baseball bat, putting weights on it, and swing it hard and sharp in way that feels natural one handed. Alternate between arms and then do some crunches. Take about 45min to an hour each day and rest and party or whatever on the weekends.
I would just do circuit training with the machines. That will impact you aerobically and build a little bit of muscle. And won’t take that much of your time. Just ask one of the old men or a chick to show you how everything works. Be sure to wipe off the machine, sometimes those old ladys have some incontinence. Or you can just go lift like a normal dude. In the big boy section of the gym.
